In case you didn't hear...

Heath Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment today. The cause is unknown, but probably drug related. An autopsy is scheduled for later this week. He was 28.

He stared in films 10 Things I Hate About You, A Knight's Tale, Brokeback Mountain, and in the upcoming The Dark Knight as the Joker.

He will be missed. He had such promise to become one of best actors of his generation.

Rest in peace, Heath.

So excited to get away for the weekend!

Spider-Man 3 - Enjoyed it a lot. Don't go into it expecting the same thing as the first two. I loved how the movie was about forgiveness and redeption. It had real human qualities in a film about super humans. It villain of the film wasn't Sandman, or Venom....it was Peter. It was about Peter fighting himself. It was really moving at times.

Shrek The Third - Too many characters that I didn't care about. Not enough plot. If it had just stuck to the plot about the vilains wanting their happily ever after, it would have been a lot better. I sure did laugh a lot, though.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - I really enjoyed it. A lot. It was my favorite of the three-quels. It had a great feel of fun, adventure, mystery, excitment, and character. I don't want to spoil any of the plot, but I loved the art direction and cinematography. There were some really beautiful shots in the film. Dead Man's Chest was a setup for all the plot twists to come in this film. I enjoyed the new characters as well as the turns for the old ones. And a lot of characters really came full circle in this film. I went in and just enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun (and make sure you stay through the credits).

Last night my Grandpa died.

He had not been doing well. He had congestive heart failure, his kidneys were no longer functioning properly, and they think he had cancer, but couldn't test because of the risk.

I saw him on Sunday and he looked awful. He just stared at the ceiling as if no one was there and would gasp for air or grunt with each breath. It was very painful.

I'm actually relieved that he has passed. He's not in pain, he's not suffering, he's not unhappy.

I will miss you, Grandpa. I love you.

I'm so excited! In less than 24 hours I will be on a plane headed to Las Vegas! This is the first real vacation I've had in over five years! I'm quite excited.

We're going to see "O" (the Cirque de Soulie water show), "Spamalot" (the Monty Python musical), and go to the Excalibur hotel and attend their dinner show (kind of like Medieval Times). I'll be doing a bit of gambling (not a ton, just a bit) and I'm going to take my video camera so I'll have tons of footage and pictures when I return.

I heard this the other day and thought all the folks on LJ would appreciate this.

The rumor is that M. Night Shamalyan (or how ever you say his name) is working on a live action movie version of the Nick show "Avatar". Okay, you can scream in joy now. ^_~

So I watched the Golden Globe awards.

I guessed all of the acting awards for film correctly. I was quite pleased.

Then Babel won for Best Picture (drama). Bleck. I'm sorry, but that film was not that great. Let's just hope that it doesn't win Best Picture at the Oscars this year. I will be so mad if that happens.

I saw Imogen Heap in concert the other night.

Amazing.

This is what I wrote on my Xanga, for those of you who don't read it....

I traveled to Royal Oak Monday to see Imogen Heap in concert.

Wow.

It was a great concert. I sat in the front of the balcony because I really didn't want to stand through the whole thing. The place totally packed. Everywhere there was standing room, there were people.

The two opening acts were fantastic. I highly recommend you look up Kid Beyond on YouTube because he's amazing! He really is a one man band! I can't remember the other person's name, Levi something, but he had a phenominal voice! Both used a music technique called "looping" to create the effect that they had other musicians with them and the result was amazing.

Onto Imogen. She was amazing. When she sang "Let Go" (as heard in the movie Garden State) I actually got all teary-eyed because it was so beautiful. She performed I swear about 20 songs including every song from her most recent album, one song from her first album (that I didn't know exsited and now I must find it) and several Frou Frou songs. I was so happy.

The concert started at 8 and ran until after 11! It was worth every penny (and it wasn't even an expensive concert). The only thing that sucked was I wanted a shirt and stood in line before the show to get one and about 7-8 people before me they ran out of my size. All they had left was XL and that's way too big. Guess I'll have to try and find one on Ebay. :sigh:

Imogen is amazing. If you don't know who I'm talking about look her up. Sample her music on ITunes or Amazon. She's an amazing vocalist and her live performance was spectacular. She uses the same looping technology as the opening acts and in fact both of the opening acts performed with her as backup. It was amazing! I loved the concert. That's pretty much it.

Actor Peter Boyle Dies at 71



Peter Boyle, the hulking, snappish actor who started out his career as a tough guy but gained fame for his comedic roles as the Monster in Young Frankenstein and the irascible father on Everybody Loves Raymond died yesterday in New York; he was 71.



I'm very sadden by this. He was a great actor. He will be missed. I'll go watch Young Frankenstein in his honor.

Well, Nakiko would teach kendo and Shaylin would teach S&M. I definately think that Nakiko would be better suited for that protection

Misha's hot. She's a professional wench! How could she not be hot?

Sayoko sends Sage on a mission, huh? Probably some form of mission to find something to make the world a Utopian society. Does it succeed? Depends on if Sage actually goes through with it.

04) What is or would be 9's favorite book?
Baylie's favorite book? Probably a cook book. She loves to eat!

05) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
I think that Nakiko and Misha would kill each other before they swore to either.....

06) For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should s/he share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
I think that Alana would get along just fine with both Baylie and Vernoica. All three are warrior types....though Veronica's strong opinions would probably start to bother Alana after a while...and Baylie would eat them out of house and home.

07) 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Misha, Tiana, and Sayoko.....They would probably go to a place that serves steak, like a Kobe (Japanese steak-house). I can only imagine Sayoko getting tipsy off the sake and making fun of Tiana as she tries to catch the shrimp in her mouth. Hillarious! Misha would probably be stuck there silently as Tiana and Sayoko try to kill each other.

08) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
Veronica's a collosium fighter and Lydia is a trained sword-fighter (with a sword like Cloud in FF7) so I think they would try to kick the crap out of each other in a public fight. But Lydia would go crazy and totally kick Veronica's butt and then go try to kill everyone watching....bad things.

09) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would s/he get it back?
Natalya's an assassin so the most precious thing she could steal from Sage would be Milton. Sage would probably send all the airship pirates she knows out to get Natalya, but it's hard to find someone on the ground when you're flying in the air. And Natalya has guns, Sage throws charged playing cards....

10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
Tiana and Sayoko? "When the World Ended"

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
Natalya works for money and Kameko's a monk trying to control her lycanthropy.....what about a were-tiger that has a lot of money?

Tiana and I would make fun of stupid people....all weekend!

Either Tiana or Sage. Sage has street-smarts but Tiana is Exsistance herself. That can come in handy.

Well, tonight is the first night of my new game. I've really been putting a lot of thought into it so let's hope that it turns out well. A new look at the future of the Advent world. I'm really excited about it! And there's a suprise for everyone.....character sheets! EEK!

Videotaped my friend's wedding this weekend, now all I have to do is keep my computer from freezing during rendering. I really think it's just overheating....that's all I can figure out.

I was supposed to tape another horse today, but since it rained so much yesterday the arena was probably all mud and water, so we're rescheduling.

Uh...let's see...I have one more film shoot with Joshua this weekend before he leaves for LA. Should be a super fun time!

I'm so excited that I can finally show it to people!

Project Runway's on tonight. I'm so addicted to that show >_< Never thought I would be.

What have I been up to lately? Let me see....

I'm selling stuff on Ebay again. Mostly my Magic: The Gathering cards. I figure I'll probably never play again so I might as well make a bit of money off them. I'm also cleaning out various other movie memorabilia and things and selling them too.

I finished my class at Compass and now I'm trying to plan for the future. Who knows what will happen next with that.

I thought I was going to be just face-painting this Saturday at the Corporate Office summer picnic, but it looks like I'll now be in charge of all the games too. Yeah for baby-sitting the higher-ups' kids. Not exactly what I had in mind...but oh well. I'll be getting paid to do it and I get to hang out at a private beach for the day.

Uh....I really need to get a copy of my project from Compass because I'm really freakin' proud of it. I'll probably want to show it off to people when the come to visit. It's nice to have a video project that I'm super proud of. I'm excited.

Well, off to bed. I work at 9:15 tomorrow >_< Night!

It's been a tough couple days for me. Why? Simple. I feel like a horrible person.

You don't know what the future will bring. You don't know where you're going. Your friends are all leaving you due to graduation or whatnot. There seems to be nothing for you here anymore. You've kept secrets from people that you love and care about. And now you feel like no one wants you around.

So, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to anyone that I've accidentally pushed away this past year. I don't want to lose my friends that I love so much. You all mean the world to me. I'm sorry for being a bitch and for being selfish this past year. It's been the time for me to step forward and make something of myself and I ended up pushing the people away that mean more to me than anything.

I'm sorry....

Don't ever let me do that again. I love you all.
